Run the game through steam PS: Make sure to setup your controller setting first and checklist “Playstation Configuration Support” and “Xbox Configuration Support” in your steam controller setting (Steam > Setting > Controller) I downloaded elamigos ver from here and play it with my PS5 controller works fine no issue after hours play
  2. Deleting vjoy: if your controller isn’t working on elden ring try deleting vjoy from apps and features
  3. (extra from previous) Steam controller: Steam > Controller > Enable Xbox Configuration Support and Generic Gamepad Configuration Support > start steam big picture mode and make sure xbox controller detected in controller option > run the game
